We all know who the most difficult person to shop for is…it’s the hard to shop for man!
Whether it’s your brother, boyfriend, husband, father, or father-in-law, it’s the men in our lives who are the most difficult to shop for!
I got into an argument with my brother-in-law last Christmas about who’s more difficult to shop for, men vs. women. I managed to convince him that it was men after I listed all the things you can get women that you can’t for men. Well, you could but they might wonder why you gave them stationery they’ll never use or jewelry they’ll never wear.
Another case in point, our family does a secret Santa type thing. (We went to this system when the fam got just a little too big.) Each person picks a name out of a bowl and we only need get that one person a gift instead of every single person, saving time and money.
Well, the one person everyone absolutely dreads drawing out of the bowl is my father-in-law. He’s a perfectly pleasant person but everyone is really at a loss for gift ideas when it comes to him. He doesn’t have a hobby, follow sports, listen to music, or have a strong interest in really anything. Plus, he doesn’t have any vices like drinking, smoking, etc.! What do you get for someone like that?
And we all know someone like that! It’s so much easier to just ask them what they want and to get them exactly that. But can I tell you, we did that one year for my father-in-law and he returned it to the store! He thought we had paid too much, never mind the HE had asked for it. So he gave us back the money for it. See what I mean? Perfectly pleasant but he’s not just hard to shop for. He’s impossible to shop for!
Well, not to fear this year! I’ve compiled a list of awesome gifts that any man would be happy to get, even that hard to shop for man! And there isn’t a sock, tie, or mug to be found anywhere on this list!
No Eye Sores Here
Okay be honest…how much of your man’s stuff made it into your home when you moved in together? Yeah, not much and still probably too much for your liking right? Well, strike a compromise with something you’ll both love with one of these blueprints!
